ULUDAG UNIVERSITY IN BURSA
The aim of our university is to bring up contemporary youth who has identified themselves with the culture and historial values of the country by being respostable to the national values, haw high personal responsibility, and has free thought on the contemporary, secular, and democratic way led faculties! School on the undergraduate level, 12 vocational schools, 1 conservatoire, 3 institutes, 11 resarcin centers and 6 departments that are under Presidency.
Bursa Faculty of Medicine ( once under Istanbul University) which waw established in 1970, and Bursa Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences which was founded in 1974, formed the basics of the University.
Uludag University, which was established in 1975 under the name of Bursa University and took its current name in 1982, has been successfully continuing its services ever since.

The regional distribution of our Univercity:
Medicel School Economic and Administrative Sciences, Engineering and Architecture, Veterinarian, Agricutlure, a big part of Education Faculty and Science Departments of Faculty of Arts and Sciences , Health Services and Technical Sciences, Graduate Schools, Heads of Departments and Prosidency central organization are working in the Gorukle Campus, which was built as a main sculement place on 16000 acres land 18 km far from the city center.
Department of Fine Arts which is a part of Education Faculty , State Conservatory, School of Health, Faculty of Theology, and Vocational School of Social Sciences which is a part of Faculty of Arts and Science are in the Ali Osman Sommez Campus located on the Yalova road.
Our schools which took their names from the province of the Yalova and towns named Mustafakemalpasa , Karacabsy, Inegol, Iznik, Yenisehir and Orhangazi continue their education at those places mentioned.
In the academic year 2000-2001 total of 36419 students are studying at our University. Of these 36419 students 27733 art are undrgrafuates, 6934 are associate degrees, 1030 are masters, 403 are doctorate students, and 320 are students specializing in Medicine.
Regarding March 2001 our University haw a total of 1868 teaching staff. Of these 1868 teaching staff, 271 are professors, 182 are associate professors, 207 are assistant professors, 286 are instructors, 115 are lectures, 725 are research assistants, and 82 are specialists.
