On Friday August 26th, 2005, the 3rd Summit of the Executive Secretariat of the Network of Balkan Cities was held in Thessaloniki and was attended by:

• Mr. Konstantinos Gaveras, President of the City Council of Piraeus, the Presiding City for 2004, and
• Mr. Antonie Solomon, Mayor of Craiova, President of the Network of Balkan Cities for 2005
• Mr. Ramazan Kabasakal, Director of the International Department of the City of Ankara, the Presiding City for 2006, and
• Mr. Vassilios Papageorgopoulos, Mayor of Thessaloniki, the seat of the Executive Secretariat of the Network of Balkan Cities
