On July 4th 2008, the 6th Summit of the Executive Secretariat of the Network of Balkan Cities was held in Thessaloniki and was attended by:

• Mr. Predrag Mitrovic, Deputy Mayor of Sarajevo, the Presiding City for 2008
• Mr. Sasa Igic, Deputy Mayor of Novisad, President of the Network of Balkan Cities for 2007 and
• Mr. Vassilios Papageorgopoulos, Mayor of Thessaloniki, the Presiding City for 2009 and the seat of the Executive Secretariat of the Network of Balkan Cities
